Temp License Emergency Rule for Electricians

Washington State Department of Labor and Industries has put in effect an emergency rule providing the issuance of temporary permits in Liu of certificates for electricians coming from out of state. Under the emergency rule, electricians who have completed and equivalaent state regulated four-year journey level electrical apprenticeship program or possess and equivalent journey level electrician certificate obtained by examination in another state, have taken at least 96 hours of classroom training and can meet the requirements under RCW 19.28.181 are elegible for a temporary permit.
