Dear Sisters and Brothers:
I’m writing because public records indicate some of you are not currently registered to vote. You may be listed as unregistered if you have moved, changed your name, or have not voted recently. We are ramping up our political mobilization efforts this year, and you play a critical role.
On the local, state and national level, we need more friends who support the rights of union members, and stand firmly against those who are working to defeat us. Those elected this year on the state level will have decision-making authority on how state and congressional maps will be redrawn following the 2020 census.
No matter your party, or the candidates you support, please make sure that you and your family members are registered to vote. Educated IBEW members who are armed with the facts to vote for candidates who support our jobs and collective bargaining, are the most important piece of our mobilization plan.
You cannot exercise your civic rights, or even sign a simple petition, if you are not a registered voter. The stakes are high in 2020. Your sisters, brothers and community need you to make sure you are registered to vote.
Who wins next year matters. Please read, complete, sign and return a voter registration form at your earliest convenience. Or go online at https://app.mt.gov/voterinfo/
